To become a Member of the Noordhoek Riding Club please follow the steps below:
- Fill out and submit the form below
- Make the payment of the relevant fee
- Submit the proof of payment to the following email address: membership@noordhoekriding.com
Please Note: New members must be nominated and seconded by current NRC members in good standing who then shall be responsible for ensuring that the new member complies with the NRC and local authority regulations.

Membership Types - 2026 Memberships
Competitive Membership Fee:
R1100
Full membership for anyone who is competing at affiliated levels. No NRC Ground Levy at shows.
Non Riding Membership Fee:
R400
Coaches, Officials, and Supporters
Allows Coaches to Coach at the NRC Practice Sessions.
Ability to hire the NRC Fields for private Clinics (Hiring costs to be discussed with Admin).
Recreational Membership Fee
R600
No Ground Levy for NRC Practice Shows or Recreational classes.
Family Membership:
The 1st Family member pays the full Competitive Membership fee (R1100) and each subsequent family member will pay R700.
(Please note: Family Members are considered to be children under the age of 21 living in the same household.)

Terms and Conditions
The NRC is a Show Holding Body and Club Affiliated to the SAEF.
The Aims and objectives of the NRC are to:
- PRESERVE the tradition of horse riding in the Noordhoek Valley, thereby supporting the longer term planning and preservation of our rural atmosphere.
- PROTECT the interests of horses, owners and riders.
- PROVIDE permanent equestrian facilities in Noordhoek.
- PROMOTE equestrian sport in all disciplines, local and provincial, including the interest of the Noordhoek branch of the South African Pony Club.
Membership fees may be paid via the Internet or electronic banking using the following banking details:

Membership applications received after 1 July of each year are only liable for 75% of the Annual Membership Fee due.
Kindly note the following from the NRC Constitution:
Clause 5(d) “All applications for membership shall be submitted to the Executive committee for consideration and approval by a two thirds majority.”
Clause 5(e) “Final acceptance of membership will be considered for not less than three (3) months.”

ANNUAL INDEMNITY AGREEMENT
IN FAVOUR OF NOORDHOEK HORSE RIDING NPC Registration Number: 2017/076819/08
TRADING AS: NOORDHOEK RIDING CLUB (NRC)
CRITICAL NOTICE:
This document governs all activities and access for the entirety of the membership period, commencing 1 January 2026 and concluding 31 December 2026.
It is imperative to review and sign this agreement prior to the initiation of membership or participation in any associated activities.
For members under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must execute this agreement on their behalf.
- Premises, Membership Scope, and Associated Activities
By accepting membership with NRC, accessing its premises, and/or participating in its activities (inclusive of but not limited to equestrian training, horse riding, and club events), I acknowledge and consent to the inherent risks these activities entail for the duration of the membership. - Obligations, Assurances, and Acknowledgements
- I acknowledge that the NRC premises are shared by equines, other animals, and individuals, including minors, and I undertake to conduct myself responsibly to ensure the collective safety of all individuals and animals.
- I recognise that equestrian activities are inherently hazardous and understand that NRC cannot exert complete control over equines or the environment. I commit to exercising appropriate caution and vigilance at all times.
- I affirm that I possess the requisite skills and expertise to undertake the activities in which I engage at NRC and will refrain from exceeding my capabilities. I acknowledge that NRC does not supervise or evaluate the skill levels of individual riders.
- Compliance with Club Regulations and Directives
I undertake to adhere strictly to NRC’s established policies, protocols, and any instructions provided by its personnel, trainers, or authorised representatives during my membership tenure. - Indemnity and Limitation of Liability
I irrevocably indemnify and hold NRC, its directors, employees, and authorised agents harmless against any claims, losses, or damages (including but not limited to personal injury, disability, death, property loss, or associated expenses), arising howsoever, including through negligence, during the membership period. - Medical Authorisation and Liability
I authorise NRC to:
- Administer or facilitate immediate first aid in the event of an emergency.
- Secure medical treatment, including hospitalisation, if necessary. I assume full responsibility for any resultant medical expenses.
- Accountability for Damages
I accept full liability for any damage I, my dependents, pets, or equines cause to NRC property, including but not limited to its premises, facilities, or equipment, arising through negligence or willful misconduct. - Certification and Indemnity Duration
I certify that I have thoroughly reviewed, comprehended, and consent to the terms of this agreement. I acknowledge that this indemnity remains effective for the entire membership year, from 1 January 2025 and concluding 31 December 2025.
- In the event that I am signing on behalf of a minor, I commit to elucidating the content of this agreement to the minor.
